**NEW Member Discussion Group!**
Join your school law colleagues from across the country who represent public schools in civil rights matters, from OCR complaints to litigation and everything in between. The groups will meet monthly to discuss practical approaches, enforcement trends, and evolving legal standards.
Next discussion time TBD.
Back by popular demand following their engaging virtual conference session on student and staff free speech rights, Nicki Bazer and David Braun lead this encore session! NSAA members are invited to a collaborative discussion on student protests and walkouts. As these situations raise complex legal, operational, and community considerations, school attorneys are often at the center of advising district responses. This is not a presentation, but an interactive exchange. Participants are encouraged to bring questions, experiences, and practical insights to share with colleagues as we explore how to navigate these issues while keeping students at the center of the public school mission.
Discussion Leaders: Nicki Bazer, David Braun Franczek (IL)
